On Thursday 16 October 2014 Erica Green, Director, and the Board of the Samstag Museum of Art, University of South Australia opened the Luminous World exhibition with a cocktail launch along with guest speaker Helen Carroll, Curator Wesfarmers Collection and Manager Wesfarmers Arts. Also screening that night were films from Lynette Wallworth, Gina Czarnecki, Angelica Mesiti
and Murray Fredericks.

National Library of Australia, Canberra - Opening NIght

Luminous World was opened at National Library of Australia, Canberra on 9 April 2014 by Michael Leunig, cartoonist, writer, painter and poet.

Charles Darwin University Art Gallery OpeningOpening Night

Luminous World opened at Charles Darwin University Art Gallery as part of the Darwin Arts Festival on 7 August.
Senior Tiwi Islander artists from Melville Island, led by Pedro Wonaeamirri, danced the exhibition open and the following day saw Judy Watson (QLD) and Andrew Browne (VIC) talk to a capacity crowd about their work in the show.
Charles Darwin University is the first stop on a national tour from 2013 to 2015.
