BILL HENSON
Bill Henson is a leading Australian contemporary artist. His first solo exhibition was held at the National Gallery of Victoria in 1975 and he has since exhibited extensively in Australia and overseas. In 1995 he was Australia’s representative at the Venice Biennale and in 2005 a comprehensive survey of his career was held at the Art Gallery of New South Wales and National Gallery of Victoria. His work is represented in leading Australian and international museums and galleries and has been the subject of two major monographs in recent years. Lux et Nox was published by Scalo, Switzerland in 2002 and Mnemosyne, also by Scalo, in 2005. A second edition of Lux et Nox was published by Thames & Hudson in 2009.
